A photograph exhibition to make you think differently.
It’s not often you get a chance to see a world class photographic exhibition in a small Northumberland market town like Hexham. But now’s your chance.
I have just been to see ‘Apollo Remastered’, a digital reworking of the original pictures from the Apollo space missions. So fragile, the original 30,000 photographs are kept in a freezer in Houston, Texas.
Digital artist Andy Sanders has created, using the original images, the highest quality Apollo photographs ever seen. From daring space walks to stunning portraits of astronauts, to lifeless luna landscapes and my personal favourite, the planet earth rising above the moon. Simply awesome.
This exhibition makes you look at the universe differently.
Apollo Remastered can be seen at Queen's Hall, Hexham, from now until 30 May, 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. Entrance is free.
