Discovering Dark Skies

Monday – Saturday, 10am - 4pm

Northumberland has some of the most pristine dark skies in England, inspiring awe and wonder in thousands who come to stargaze in our region every year.

Working with partners, including the Kielder Observatory, Kielder Partnership and National Park Authority, this exhibition celebrates the rich cultural and natural heritage of the night, a heritage we are at risk of losing in an increasingly over-illuminated world.
