The Artsmark Partner Programme is an Arts Council England endorsed network of Arts and Cultural Organisations that can support schools to embed arts and culture across the curriculum.
As an Artsmark Partner, we are proud to work in partnership with schools. As well as delivery of Arts Award at Discover and Explore levels, we help schools and students in lots of other ways.
From visiting our venue to see a live performance to free backstage tours and from talks from the team to CPD opportunities for school staff, get in touch to see what bespoke support we can offer your school!
If you’re thinking of starting or are already on your Artsmark journey, we’d love to talk to you to see how we can support your school. Please email Amanda Gould, our Engagement & Development Manager, to start the conversation.
Are you interested in working with Queen’s Hall Arts to support the Creative Curriculum in your school?
Here’s how we have recently worked with one local school...
"St. Mary’s R.C. First School are lucky enough to have built a partnership with the Queen’s Hall Arts Centre. They have been proactive in helping our school to develop our arts curriculum, work towards achieving our Artsmark award and building cultural capital experiences for our children.
Our Year Four children were given the opportunity to attend the centre where they created lanterns for the Hexham Lantern parade and had a backstage tour where they met the cast from The Wind in the Willows. The children learnt about different job roles in the arts centre, which is something we are passionate to educate our children about.
Here is what some of our Year Four children said about these experiences:
“It was really good seeing how they control the lights on stage, I didn’t know they had that many controls in one room!”
“It was messy and fun making the lanterns, I felt proud of the lantern that I made”
“It was funny seeing the actors practising their lines, I loved the expressions on their faces”
We look forward to organising further events in partnership with the Queen’s Hall in the near future. "
