Alexei Sayle: How I’ve Tried to Change the World
- Main Information
Alexei Sayle – comedian, writer, and political activist – chronicles the battles for a more progressive country.
Born in working-class Liverpool in 1952 to British Communist Party member parents, Alexei was bathed in the ideas and ideals of the Left from birth. Through 70 years of key marches and rallies - from the demonstrations against the Vietnam War in 1969 and the first Miners' strike in 1974, to the demonstration against the 2003 Iraq invasion and the recent marches in support of Gaza, he traces the enduring struggle for a better, fairer world.
Bringing his wit and comedian’s ability to find the funny no matter what, this is an event which will make you laugh and think in equal measure.
