Workshop: Writing landscape and place with Elizabeth O’Connor

- Main Information
How to build the landscape and convey a strong and engaging sense of place in your writing.
Novelist and creative writing tutor Elizabeth O’Connor, whose debut novel Whale Fall is set on a fictional Welsh island where the island itself is one of the main (and most compelling) characters, teaches you how to build the landscape and convey a strong and engaging sense of place in your writing.
Through discussion and exercises, you’ll learn how to describe and give character to locations in your story, as well as how to weave them into your cast of characters and your plot, creating an evocative and rich piece of writing.
No previous writing experience needed.
