Having witnessed the murder of Miguel Delgado on a London dockside, Sherlock Holmes is tasked with finding the “Star of San Martin”. His investigation leads him to an Oxford professor, Victorian London’s finest art dealers and jewellers and even The Prospect of Whitby, an inn by the Thames where pirates once held court!

But, at every turn, Holmes must remember Delgaldo’s final words: “beware The Sting of the Scorpion…”

The game is afoot!

Award winning playwright Stewart Howson’s Sherlock Holmes and The Sting of the Scorpion weaves together two previously unrelated Arthur Conan Doyle short stories The Tiger of San Pedro and The Copper Beeches to create a new, mysterious plot for Holmes, Watson, and audiences to investigate.

Directed by Alice Byrne and Louis Roberts, the production features the classic Holmesian elements that audiences know and love brought to life through physical theatre by NTC Touring Theatre Company’s versatile ensemble of talented performers.

An original atmospheric soundscape composed by musician Lucy Desbrow underscores this entertaining crime caper to deliver a tale full of adventure, comedy and intrigue for audiences to enjoy.

“I am a Sherlock nerd and loved it!”
