Rosie Macari Over 55's Dance Workshop

Join Rosie Macari for an over 55's workshop focused on moving the body freely and responding with your own creative flair.

Rosie is a dance artist and aerialist who grew up in Northumberland and trained in London. 

She has over 10 years of performing and teaching experience with company’s Motionhouse Dance Theatre, Southpaw Company, Linden Dance & Lo-giudice dance.

Rosie is currently working on an aerial dance duet with Lila Naruse. They are working with harness and rope as well and dance on themes around our ancestral roots, connection to nature and how we can learn from one and other. 

This workshop will be a combination of phrases to warm the body with traditional style class, weighted swinging exercises and travelling in the space. It will then lead onto learning some repertoire from the duet and finish with a creative task for participants to respond to the themes of the duet and discussion throughout the workshop.
