POPPY

- Main Information
Eliot Smith Dance makes a much-anticipated return to Queen's Hall with a bold reimagining of Eliot Smith’s POPPY — a powerful reflection on war, conflict, and sacrifice.
Originally premiered in 2018, POPPY has been newly envisioned for the spring 2026 season. Featuring a new original score by multi-award winning composer Adam Johnson and performed by five exceptional dancers, this evocative piece draws on the enduring symbolism of the poppy flower of John McCrae.
Presented at a time when global conflict remains ever-present and as the UK recently commemorated 80 years since Victory in Europe (VE) Day — POPPY is a poignant tribute to remembrance, resilience, and the human cost of war.
Don’t miss this moving and visually arresting performance from one of the UK’s leading contemporary dance companies.
