Join Rendez-Vous Dance for an open rehearsal of The Monocle, as the company restages this acclaimed work before taking it on tour across the country.
Led by Artistic Director Mathieu Geffré, this open rehearsal offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative process. Mathieu will guide audiences through key moments of the work, sharing how the piece is shaped in the studio and how it evolves through collaboration with a team of exceptional dancers.
You can expect to see sections of choreography in progress, hear reflections on the themes of the work, and gain insight into how movement, structure and intention come together in performance. There will be moments of explanation, demonstration and live rehearsal, offering a rare and informal window into the life of a touring dance production.
