Draw For The Terrified

Always wanted to be able to draw but don't know where to start? Maybe you even believe that you can't?!

Everyone can draw. We just need the space and support and a few pointers to get us started. On this one-day workshop led by Jenny Purrett, we will learn how to look and translate what we see into marks on a page. We will make observational drawings from life, from other drawings and from photographs, and will look at ways of using pencil, chalk and charcoal. Jenny guarantees that at the end of the day you will leave having realised that you know how to draw! About Jenny Purrett 
Artist and educator in equal measures, Jenny Purrett uses drawing as a means to investigate the world around her. She founded DRAW studios at Wheelbirks Farm, Stocksfield in 2021 in order to share her love of drawing. Her dream was to create a space where people can come together to explore, to experiment and share in the experience of that fundamental urge we all have to make marks.
