Dominic Gregory – Lifeboat at the End of the World
- Main Information
For all lovers of the sea and those who admire the bravery, dedication and generosity of the lifeboat crews.
An extraordinary memoir from a RNLI volunteer, based at Dungeness on the English Channel, giving us an insight into one of the most specialised and unknown roles in the UK. You’ll meet the lifeboat crew, many of them from families who have crewed the lifeboat for generations, who all give up their time, livelihoods and safety to brave wind, tide and storms, and you’ll hear about their rescues, their dilemmas, and the life-and-death decisions they have to make in a split second, with no warning, often whilst battling the elements.
In conversation with Jacqui Hodgson.
