Bloodaxe presents...Gillian Allnutt & Katrina Porteous

- Main Information
Two of the North East’s most-loved poets, unite on stage with their publisher for a very special event.
Gillian Allnutt’s new collection, Lode, was written mostly during the Covid-19 pandemic, which found her isolated in the former pit village of Esh Winning in Co. Durham, her home for the past 30 years, unsure when she’d be able to roam further than her immediate vicinity.
Katrina Porteous’ most recent collection, Rhizodont (2024), is shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize 2024, and against a backdrop of vast geological time and recent fossil-fuel burning history, explores current issues of social and environmental change.
