Queen's Hall Arts is seeking experienced writers and facilitators to deliver a series of creative writing taster sessions for young people aged 8–14 during the summer holidays (Monday 27 July – Friday 28 August).
We are open to a wide range of themes and approaches, from scriptwriting and spoken word to fantasy world-building and storytelling. Whatever the focus, sessions should place creativity, collaboration and enjoyment at their heart, while helping young people develop confidence in their writing.
These will be one-off sessions, with the potential for regular term-time workshops subject to demand and participant feedback.
Fee
£150 for initial 90-minute taster session (inclusive of planning time)
£60 per session for any subsequent rolling, term-time workshops (inclusive of planning time)
Please note that travel expenses will not be covered.
How to Apply
We would love to hear about your proposed session and how you would engage young writers in fun, imaginative and inclusive ways.
You don’t need to work with the full age range of 8 – 14, so please also tell us which age group your workshop will work best for.
To apply, please send:
A one-page proposal outlining your session
A CV and/or details of relevant experience
Applicants must have an up-to-date DBS certificate and Public Liability Insurance.
Applications should be sent to [email protected] by midday on Monday 15 June.
