Welcome to a Sizzling Summer at the Queen’s Hall Arts Centre
April marks the start of our new three year funding agreement with Arts Council England which will ensure that high quality performances and exhibitions are brought to Hexham. There’s a wealth of talent on offer - drama from Third Angel and Théâtre Sans Frontières, family entertainment from Opera North, Ballet Cymru’s Cinderella, Eliza Carthy headlining the Hexham Gathering and Khosro Adibi in Gallery One, and lots more ...
This season there are a number of what we call “big hitters” in the theatre that sell out and which you should book early to get your favourite seats – Opera della Luna , Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham, 69 Shades of Black
(starring Faye Tozer), the big band sound of the Nick Ross Orchestra, Oddsocks at Dilston Hall and a host of big
hitters at the Hexham Book Festival.
And don’t forget our more intimate spaces; folk music in the White Room, jazz in the Little Angel Café, Bitesize theatre in the Green Room and film club socials in Gallery Two – all great nights out (and mostly sold out last season!)
