A creative writing workshop inspired by dusk, darkness, and the day's end.

As the sun slips below the horizon, join writer and workshop leader David Wibberley for a twilight workshop walking through Sele Park and the Abbey grounds, reconnecting with the natural world and opening up fresh possibilities for creative writing.

Light pollution has drawn many of us away from the twilight hours: that transformative interval between sunset and full darkness. In this threshold time, familiar landscapes shift, the senses sharpen, and the natural world begins to reveal what we too often overlook.

Together, we will slow down, walk through the park and grounds, and watch the world change after sunset. Through observation, writing exercises, and ultraviolet light, we will discover what each stage of dusk reveals: civil dusk, when familiar forms still hold; nautical dusk, when the horizon fades and brighter stars appear; and astronomical dusk, when darkness deepens and hidden details come alive.

David Wibberley is a writer and workshop facilitator with an established practice grounded in creativity, writing, wellbeing and the natural world. He offers reflective workshops designed to help people settle into a more intuitive creative flow.
