On Yer Bike Tynedale

- Main Information
On Yer Bike Tynedale returns for a second year, this time as part of The Future is Now Festival in collaboration with Queen's Hall!
Last year this event was enjoyed by about 1,000 people including many young cyclists, as well as adapted bike-riders, a wide age-range of residents, wheelchair users and a plethora of visitors to Hexham.
This year, the bike track will be the same 500 metres from the Abbey, up Beaumont Street, turning into the Abbey gardens at Fusiliers' gate, just in front of the Queen's Hall. The cycle track curves behind the Abbey, coming out at the Cowgarth exit, in front of the bowling green beside the Abbey back car park, then down Cowgarth, turning right and up Market street into the marketplace.
Please see the map below for information on road closures on the day which will be in place 11am - 5pm. If you're going to the Sunday service at the Abbey, you'll be able to leave from the normal car park at the rear of the Abbey and the road closure operatives have been told to allow people to leave, and allow any taxis picking up the congregation to enter.
