Find Your Funny: Stand-up Comedy Course

Session dates: Tuesday 23 February, Tuesday 2 March, Tuesday 9 March & Tuesday 16 March, 6 - 8pm

Discover the joy of comedy with Little Robot CIC at Queen’s Hall. These welcoming, beginner-friendly workshops are designed for anyone who wants to try something new, build confidence, meet people and have a laugh along the way.

Led by experienced comedian and facilitator Prue Blake, the sessions will explore the fundamentals of stand-up comedy, including joke writing, storytelling, performance, timing and stage presence. No previous comedy or performance experience is required—just bring yourself, your ideas and a willingness to have a go!

Workshops will take place in a relaxed, supportive group environment, with practical exercises, discussion, writing activities and opportunities to try out material. Participants should expect to develop creative and communication skills, build confidence, and learn how to turn everyday experiences and ideas into comedy.

Queen’s Hall will provide the workshop space and basic equipment required, including seating, tables and access to a performance area.

Participants will not need to bring any specialist equipment, although a notebook and pen may be useful.

Most importantly, expect to have fun, meet new people and discover that comedy is something everyone can enjoy.
