Can we ever really know the truth about our parents?  A compelling journey of discovery.

Can we ever know the truth about our parents and is it worth it, if the damage has already been done? Rory Cellan-Jones intimate memoir tells the story of a thwarted love affair, his isolated childhood growing up in a one bedroom flat with his mother, and the file he discovered after her death labelled, 'Rory: in the hope that it will help him understand how it really was.' It's a story full of wartime radio broadcasts, glamorous 1950s television studios, and the progressive, centrifugal force at the centre of his family's lives.
