Make-Up Workshop

Are you looking to take your Halloween costume to the next level this year? Whether you have an idea in mind or are looking for inspiration, join Rachael from Over the Winks for this Halloween Special Effects Workshop where you can learn techniques to bring your characters to life!

Rachael will demonstrate how to create and apply realistic wounds, burns, scars, homemade prosthetics, painting techniques and many other special effects. Using two simple techniques, she'll share how to create very simple prosthetic pieces and how to apply these to yourself or a friend. Using simple painting techniques, Rachael will also demonstrate how to enhance certain facial features to suit your chosen character.

This Halloween Special Effects workshop is an opportunity for individuals of all levels, whether you’re a beginner or someone who would like to expand their knowledge.

Rachael encourages anyone with costume, images or ideas for a chosen character to bring these along on the day.

All materials will be provided on the day. It's recommended you bring an apron (or come dressed in clothing you do not mind getting dirty!) and a packed lunch.

For anyone attending with sensory needs, masks will be provided to work on as an alternative to the skin.
