£80 per participant for four day film camp

Do you want to learn filmmaking skills? Would you like to make your own film and see it on the big screen at Forum Cinema in Hexham?

Professional filmmakers Svitlana Pohasiy and Christo Wallers invite you to a four day Easter holiday workshop using your phone (and some other technical equipment!) to learn all about filmmaking.

Film Camp offers a fun introduction to filming real life (documentary) and is perfect for young people aged 11-15. The finished results will be screened at a special presentation at Forum Cinema on Sunday 28 April.

The workshop programme builds connections between teenagers who have relocated from Ukraine to the North East and young people already living here. For more information or if you have any specific questions about Film Camp, email Christo Wallers.

Svitlana Pohasiy is the founder of Kids Movie Camp, a major youth cinema project in Ukraine. She has recently been running a movie camp with young people in the city of Zaporizhia, Ukraine.

Christo Wallers is a filmmaker and lecturer at Teesside University, and a founder of Star and Shadow Cinema in Newcastle.

Subsidised places: There are five subsidised places available for local children whose families are on benefits as well as Ukrainians - please contact our Box Office team for more information and to book your subsidised place.
