Writing from Nature Workshop

The Secret Garden: Workshops

Sunday 26 April 10.00am – 3.00pm
Free event with a ticket but limited places available.
Lunch not provided

Join writer Bob Beagrie for a morning walk through Sele Park aimed at capturing impressions, recording personal memories and historical imaginings.

Bob will lead a series of short focused activities designed to trigger creative responses, from descriptive, observational writing to imagined conversations with natural, cultivated and manufactured features. The afternoon session will focus on developing the morning’s notes into poems and prose pieces, exploring the influence of the geographical environment as well as drawing inspiration from folklore and legend.

The workshops for ages 18 years+ are suitable for both beginners and more experienced writers.
Workshops are free to attend but bookable via Queen's Hall Box Office.
Please meet at the Box Office to walk over to the park together.
