How to Hide a Lion

Hexham Book Festival

Showing at

Hexham Abbey

with Helen Stephens

Hexham Abbey Ground: Spiegeltent
Tuesday 14 June: 4.15pm
Tickets: £5, £3

How does a very small girl hide a very large lion? It's not easy, but Iris has to do her best, because mums and dads can be funny about having a lion in the house. Luckily, there are lots of good places to hide a lion - behind the shower curtain, in your bed, and even up a tree. A funny, heart-warming story about a very special friendship.

Expect live drawing, reading from her books, drawing games and dressing up!

Helen Stephens is a prize-winning author and illustrator, who lives on the Northumberland coast. Sold in nearly twenty languages world-wide, there are now four books in the How to Hide a Lion series. Helen’s new book Saving Mr Hoot is a warm, funny and inspiring story which shows how we can all help protect the wildlife that lives all around us.
