Wednesdays (from 3 April - 18 May)
1 - 3pm
FREE (email firstname.lastname@example.org to book a place or enquire)
A series of FREE, weekly arts workshops for people aged 65+, including those living with Dementia and memory problems and their carers/family.
The sessions will be led by artist Cath Hodson who will take inspiration from our current exhibition, Lady Emma Tankerville - A Pioneering Botanist, and will explore print making processes using plants, flowers and leaves to make your own botanical print.
Using printing inks and high quality printing paper you will be able to recreate the botanical drawings of Lady Emma Tankerville and those of you wishing to, will be able to hand tint using watercolour paints and or pigments. All materials will be provided and we have some aprons but you may wish to bring your own.
The sessions will end with an opportunity to chat over a cup of tea and a slice of cake where we can also talk about plans for the next week’s session.
The workshop will take place in The White Room on the first floor of Queen’s Hall. It is accessible by stairs or a lift but there are no toilets on this floor, they are located on the ground floor next to the gallery.
We are happy for people to join in one or more of the sessions and to join at any point of the 6 weeks.
