Four award winning comedians all set to appear at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe put the finishing touches to their brand new shows, just a few weeks before the world’s largest art festival, in an evening of glorious fun at the Queens Hall Arts Centre in Hexham.

5.00pm: Brennan Reece: English Comedian Of The Year in 2015, his sell-out debut show, Everglow – a heart-warming autobiographical hour about growing up in the North - was the smash hit of the Edinburgh Fringe 2016 earning him a nomination for Best Newcomer at the lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Awards, along with glowing reviews. He has appeared in Live at the Apollo (BBC2), Celebrity Coach Trip (E4), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Soulboy (BBC Films), Leaving (ITV) and Skins (E4). He is also the voice of Survival Of The Fittest (ITV2) which is a show from the makers of Love Island.

6.30pm: Lauren Pattison: From Newcastle-on-Tyne, one of the brightest young talents on the comedy scene. Finishing runner-up in 2014's Funny Women, she went on to make the finals of almost every major comedy competition, including the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award in 2016. In August 2017 Lauren sold out her debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her critically acclaimed show Lady Muck. Not only was ‘Lady Muck’ the best reviewed show at Edinburgh’s premier venue, The Pleasance, that year, Lauren also won a Herald Angel Award and was nominated for Best Newcomer 2017 at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

8.00pm: Jo Caulfield: Dubbed 'funniest woman in Britain', Jo Caulfield lives up to the title with razor-sharp wit, acerbic observations and scandalous one-liners, all excellently written and impeccably delivered. Jo regularly appears on TV as a guest on both Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You. Other TV appearances include The John Bishop Show, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Saturday Night Live and The Stand Up Show.

9.30pm: Scott Bennett: Scott Bennett, Yorkshire-born, delivers wry observations on the absurdity of modern living. His sharply-written routines, drawn from real-life experiences have been delighting audiences across the country. In 2018 Scott was tipped as one of the "ones to watch for 2018" by respected industry online magazine, Chortle. Likeable, with a warm and engaging delivery, he is a live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic. English Comedian of the Year Runner Up, Comedy Cellar New Act of the Year and Old Speckled Hen Comedian of the Year.
