Grab your pens and pencils in your paws for an event of stories and dog drawing fun. Illustrator Sara Ogilvie will show you how she created some of her well-known canine characters and will help you draw some handsome hounds and perky pooches of your own. Woof!

About Sara Ogilvie
Sara Ogilvie is an award-winning illustrator and printmaker based in Newcastle upon Tyne. In 2010, she created her first picture book Dogs Don’t do Ballet, with writer Anna Kemp, published by Simon and Schuster. Since then she has had over ten years of successful picture book collaborations with many authors gaining recognition on shortlists including The Roald Dahl Funny prize, Sainsburys Picture Book awards, and The Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Both her book collaborations with Julia Donaldson, The Detective Dog and The Hospital Dog published by Pan Macmillan won the Indie Book Prizes in the picture book category in 2016 and 2021.
