Take one pair of estranged twins (both called Antipholus) and one pair of twin servants (both called Dromio), keep them in ignorance of each other and throw them into a city with a reputation for sorcery and you have the chief ingredients for theatrical chaos. Fast-paced, hilarious and seemingly irreverent, the young William Shakespeare explores themes in this comedy that recur again and again in his later work: mistaken identity, coincidence and the importance of family.

Performed on an Elizabethan-inspired stage, a small troupe of travelling players breathe new life into this delightfully anarchic play. Fast, furious and extremely funny, eight talented actors reinvent renaissance touring theatre for the 21st century with Shakespeare’s greatest farce.

[The performances take place outdoors so please bring a picnic-rug or low-backed seat and suitable clothing for all weather conditions. The plays will go ahead in all but the most extreme weather conditions.]
