Arts Award

Photo1Queen’s Hall Arts is now an Arts Award Welcome organisation and is proud to support the Arts Award scheme which encourages young people aged 11-25 to develop their skills as artists and arts leaders.

Queen’s Hall Arts offers a number of ways for young people to become involved in the arts and to achieve aspects of their Bronze, Silver or Gold level Arts Award qualifications.

Our Arts Award Welcome offer includes an opportunity to:

  • take part in the arts through weekly classes and special workshops in dance, theatre and singing, with the opportunity to perform in Hexham and across the county.

  • enjoy and appreciate the arts through access to professional performances across all art forms (with special ticket deals on certain shows for young people), exhibitions and information via twitter and blogs.Photo2

  • develop leadership by working alongside established artists on specific projects, by engaging in, and taking some responsibility for, the creative processes and organisational aspects of the arts.

  • volunteer or undertake a work placement with a specific project, with the possibility of this leading to a role as a Youth Dance Ambassador.

  • meeting arts professionals either as part of our on-going programme or with visiting performers and visual artists.

  • access progression routes through our connections with other arts and education organisations across Northumberland and the North East.
