Queen’s Hall Arts is an Arts Award Supporter and is proud to support the Arts Award scheme which encourages young people aged 11-25 to develop their skills as artists and arts leaders.
Queen’s Hall Arts offers a number of ways for young people to become involved in the arts and to achieve aspects of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Discover or Explore level Arts Award qualifications.
We are interested in working in partnership with more schools and youth groups to support and enhance opportunities for young people to develop as artists and arts leaders.
Our Arts Award offer includes an opportunity to:
take part in the arts through weekly classes and special workshops in dance, theatre and singing, with the opportunity to perform in Hexham and across the county.
enjoy and appreciate the arts through access to professional performances across all art forms with special ticket deals on certain shows for young people.
meet arts professionals either as part of our on-going programme or with visiting performers and visual artists.
access progression routes through our connections with other arts and education organisations across Northumberland and the North East.
To find out more about Arts Award and how you can get involved please contact Susan Priestley, Engagement & Development Manager on 01670 624513.
Queen’s Hall Arts is delighted to be working in partnership with Culture Bridge North East and Northumberland National Park to deliver a new Artsmark programme for schools in 2017.
Artsmark Development Day - Wednesday 11 October 10.00am - 3.00pm
Queen’s Hall Arts and Northumberland National Park are working in partnership to support schools in Northumberland in gaining Artsmark status. We will be running a training day for teachers and offering opportunities to get involved with the education programmes at Queen’s Hall Arts and Northumberland National Park.
Artsmark can help unlock the potential of children and young people, help to develop character and talent, and increase their knowledge and understanding. That’s why Artsmark was created: to bring this ambition to life in every classroom.
Awarded by Arts Council England and designed by schools, the new Artsmark award will help schools to deliver a high quality arts and cultural education, and provides an excellent way to demonstrate this.
If your school is interested in finding out more and applying for Artsmark please contact QHA Engagement and Development Manager, Amanda Gould on 01670 624513 or email here .
